Miss Universe 2021: 21-year-old daughter of Punjab Harnaaz Sandhu has crowned Miss Universe 2021 in Israel. This moment has come for India after 21 years. Earlier in the year 2000, Lara Dutta had won the title. Harnaaz defeated the contestants of Paraguay and South Africa to win the title. Sandhu was crowned by former Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico.

In the question of the top three round, the contestant was asked what advice would you give to the young women of today to handle the pressure. In response to this, Harnaz said that the biggest stress the youth are facing in today’s time is their lack of faith in themselves. They don’t know that they are unique. Stop comparing yourself with others. Have faith in yourself. Because you are the leader of your own life. I believed in myself that’s why I am standing here today.
Born and raised in Punjab, Harnaaz Sandhu attended Shivalik Public School and Post Graduate Government College for Girls, both in Chandigarh. The diva is currently pursuing her Masters’ degree in Public Administration.
Ms Sandhu began competing in pageantry at the age of 17 and has won titles such as Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018.
In 2019, she won the title of Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 after which she competed in Femina Miss India. She was in the top 12 in Femina Miss India.
