The new initiative by the chocolate and confectionery giant is titled ‘Not just a Cadbury Ad’. In the initiative’s newest ad, Shahrukh can be heard taking names of small local businesses such as ‘Fashnova Emporium’, ‘Heaven Eye Optician’, and ‘Roshan Kirana’.

Cadbury claims that it has used machine learning to create Shahrukh Khan’s face and voice to take the names of local businesses. The ad has helped Shahrukh earn brownie points from netizens at a time when he and his family are under public heat.

How Cadbury Promoted Local Business using Machine Learning

Through the ad, the brand goes on to inform the viewers that it used machine learning and advanced technology to recreate Shahrukh’s voice and face to name local stores. Further, the brand also shared that any local business owner can recreate the ad where Shahrukh names their local stores for promotion.

“It is impossible to cover all the store, so we gave people the power to create their own version of not just a Cadbury ad. Any small business owner could promote their stores through their own social media networks like WhatsApp forwards,” the voice over continues.

Shahrukh concludes the ad video saying, “Humareaaspaas ki jo dukaanehai, unkibhi to Diwali meethihonichahiyena (The small stores around us deserve to have a happy Diwali).”
