The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has mentioned some days when the banking operations will remain closed in the month of October 2021, although online banking activities will continue to work. 

In today’s digital age a lot has gone online. A lot of bank-related work has also become almost online. The facility of mobile banking has made a lot of work much easier. Nevertheless, there are many bank related tasks that require going to the branch. Services like cheque clearance, loan, demand draft have to go to branches of banks.

 Before visiting your bank branch in the month of October, you must note down the list of important days during which banks will remain closed since branches are going to be closed in several places due to Navratri and other regional festivities.

  1. On October 9 – Saturday will be a holiday.
  2. October 10 – Sunday will be a holiday.
  3. October 12 – Banks will remain closed due to Mahasaptami.
  4. At October 13 – Due to Mahaashtami, there will be a holiday of bank personnel at Agartala, Bhubaneswar, Gangtok, Guwahati, Imphal, Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi.
